Program Overview

2002-2009

Exhibits of digitally restored historical photograph with narrative captions installed in the public space, jury rooms and chamber areas of the 9th District of the United States District Courts' Bay Area facilities.

The program's content includes the history of San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, and adjoining towns throughout the 9th District.

The goal was to visually integrate the facilities of the US Courts’ with the community that they serve, provide educational value and to enhance the overall experience for those involved.

This program was commissioned and managed by the US District Court Judges, who were directly involved in the final selection of the content, program design, and editing of accompanying narrative.

Our role was to identify suitable content, plan its placement within the facilities, digitally restore the photographs, research and prepare the stories, and produce, frame and install the final program.
